Biography
Debraj Goswami (b. 1973) is an Indian contemporary artist and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, The M.S. University of Baroda. He holds a BVA from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata (1997) and an MA (Fine) from The M.S. University of Baroda (1999). A recipient of the prestigious Charles Wallace India Trust Award in 2001, Goswami has exhibited widely in India and internationally.
His solo exhibitions include *Time Machine Travelogue* (2022, Ganges Art Gallery, Kolkata), *Multiple Choices* (2008, Akar Prakar, Kolkata), and *My Experiments with Half-truth* (2006, Chemould, Mumbai), among others. He has participated in numerous significant group shows, including *Printed Voices from India* (2024, Cincinnati, USA), *Freedom: From Despair to Dream* (2023, Kolkata), *Living a Dark Night* (2022, New Delhi), and international exhibitions in Berlin, Singapore, Hong Kong, and London.
His works are part of prominent collections such as the Brooklyn Museum of Art (New York), Pickford’s House Museum (UK), and Harmony Art Foundation (Mumbai). He has also contributed to public art projects at the New Delhi Airport Metro Stations. Goswami currently lives and works in Baroda, India.
